Biography

Christian Taylor dominated the triple jump for the better part of a decade, winning Olympic gold at London 2012 and Rio 2016, plus World Championship golds in 2015 and 2017. His rivalry with Pedro Pablo Pichardo was one of the best in modern field events, pushing both athletes to extraordinary distances. A devastating Achilles tendon rupture in 2021 effectively ended his career at 31, cutting short what could have been a three-peat at the Olympics.
