Faith Kipyegon has done to the women's 1500m what Usain Bolt did to the 100m — made it her personal property. Three consecutive Olympic 1500m golds (2016, 2020, 2024) put her alongside Dawn Fraser and Al Oerter in the pantheon of consecutive individual event champions. Add four World Championship 1500m golds — a record for any woman in a single event at Worlds — plus a 5000m World Championship gold and four world records, and you have the most dominant active track athlete on the planet. At 30, she may not be finished yet.
