Biography

Juli Inkster played professional golf across four decades, winning majors 20 years apart. The 1984 Nabisco Dinah Shore came as a 23-year-old; the 2000 U.S. Women's Open at 40 proved she could still beat anyone. Seven majors and 31 LPGA wins accumulated through consistency rather than dominance - she was always there, always competitive, never giving away tournaments. The three consecutive U.S. Women's Amateur titles before turning pro signaled her talent early. She played in nine Solheim Cups, eventually captaining the team, a leader whose example inspired teammates. The unpretentious Californian won without fanfare and kept winning when others retired.
